Dr. Li has published a total of 55 refereed journal articles (48 of them as senior author, either the first author or the first author’s advisor) in different journals (Trans. ASAE, Appl. Engr. Since 1994, Dr. Li, as a principal investigator, has obtained a total of $1,932,296 external research funding from federal and state agencies (USDA/NRI, USDA/CRSEES, USDA/Food Safety Consortium, NSF, ASTA, ABI), industrial groups (EPRI/FTC, US Poultry & Egg Association) and private companies (Monsanto, ALKAR, Electrochemical Technologies, Tyson Foods, Simmons Foods, Johnson Food Equipment, Safe Foods). He also has been involved in other research projects with a total of $1,636,692 as co-investigator. For both PI and Co-PI, a total of $3,568,988 has been awarded for research grants.
